Representative Mana Abdi, HD 95: Lewiston

Representative Abdi has worked with MYP for several years, including attending our Youth Ask the Questions forum in 2022, and speaking on a panel for our Movement Building School this spring.

While in office she prioritizes work to policies regarding education, healthcare, and justice reform. She has worked to pass bills to support outdoor education, address gun violence and to Advance Self-determination for Wabanaki Nations".

As a young Mainer herself, Rep. Abdi works with young people every day, through community conversations and office hours. In 2022, Rep Abdi committed to supporting young people by using her position in the legislature to direct young people to the resources that they need, and to stay in conversation with organizations that support young people to ensure that young people were represented at the legislature.
